Doctor of Veterinary
Dr. Lisa Heath graduated from University of Illinois with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Immediately upon graduation, she went to University of Michigan for a 3-year residency in laboratory animal medicine, to specialize in the care and welfare of research animals. With a diverse background, she has worked in biotechnology companies and academic institutions with many different animal species, as well as small animal practices with dogs, cats and other animals. Dr. Heath also enjoys teaching, and has taught courses in a veterinary technician college program.
In addition to medicine and urgent care, Dr. Heath has a special interest in animal behavior, behavior modification and training.
In her spare time, Dr. Heath rides and trains Icelandic horses, shows and trains her terriers, and enjoys ballroom dancing with her husband.
